Obituary of Anna R. Pfefferle

Anna R. Pfefferle November 1, 1928 – September 29, 2018 ONTARIO Anna R. Pfefferle, passed away quietly at her home on September 29, 2018. She was the eldest, and only daughter born to Frank and Ruby Hill in Weiser, Idaho on November 1, 1928. She attended first through eighth grades at Jefferson School on the Oregon Slope. She graduated from Ontario High School in 1945. She moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1947 and worked as a medical secretary at a hospital. She married Robert Pfefferle on July 21, 1955 in Weiser, Idaho. They lived in Detroit, Michigan and later relocated to her current residence on the Oregon Slope. She worked at Ontario Veterinary Clinic and Holy Rosary Hospital as a medical secretary. Anna became a Certified Medical Transcriptionist in 1982 and transcribed for several doctors in Ontario. She was nearly eighty when she retired. Anna was a woman with many talents. She was a gifted gardener and enjoyed being outside working in her yard and flower beds. She created beautiful pieces of stained glass, many of which were gifts to her family. She was not afraid to try new things. She built Koi ponds for her yard when she well into her sixties. Anna’s love for animals was remarkable. Over the years many cats and dogs were the fortunate recipients of her love and care. Anna is survived by her three brothers Ray (Jennie), Glenn, and Roger, nieces and nephews Ken (Jana) Hill, Todd (Eileen) Hill, Jeannine (Craig) Carter, Greg (Ruby) Hill, and Susan (Mike) Calahan. Grandnephews Jeff (Katie) Hill, Francis Hill, Kameron Hill, and Collin Hill. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters-in-law Myrah Hill and Ruth Hill, and nephew Steven Hill. Services will be held Friday, October 5th at 2:00 pm at the Thomason Funeral Home, 221 East Court Street, Weiser, Idaho. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Payette, Idaho.
