Obituary of Helen Loretta Foss

Helen Loretta Mundy Foss, 88, of Fruitland, Idaho, went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 30, 2018. Helen, daughter of Dannie and Loretta Mundy, passed away at Caldwell, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her son Marc, and survived by her children Anitra, Wade, and Cynthia with 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Helen was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 12, 1930. She had 2 sisters Joy and Donna. They later moved to Wyoming in 1941, then moved to Nyssa, Oregon where she graduated from high school in 1948. She moved to Boise and worked for the Phone Company as a Telephone Operator and attended Business School studying secretarial courses. She met and married Edwin A. Foss in 1950 in Boise and moved to Seattle and had 4 kids. She worked as a bookkeeper in accounting at Weisfields. In 1971 the family moved to Idaho where she bought a home. She worked at various bookkeeping jobs and retired with Kmart in 1992. Helen went on 4 missions for the Church or Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at Raleigh, North Carolina, Chicago, and 2 family history missions in Utah. She was a talented Genealogist and loved volunteering, giving service and going to church, teaching, and helping people. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved sewing, quilting, decorating cakes, reading, volunteering in the library. She loved music and sang in the choir. She promoted many family members in music abilities, buying instruments and paying for lessons and attended performances. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will take place in the Relief Society Room of the Church at 10:30 am, Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Fruitland LDS Church. Services will follow at 11:00 am at the Church. Interment will follow at Hilltop Memorial Cemetery, Nyssa, Oregon. Services and Arrangements by Lienkaemper Chapel, Ontario.
