Obituary of Richard E. Darrow

Richard Ernest Darrow passed away peacefully in his home on September 30, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones, at the age of 90. He was a proud employee of the Union Pacific Railroad for over 25 years before he retired. He inherited his love for bee keeping from his father and in turn passed that love on to his daughter, Alex. His favorite past-times were tending his Gladiolas and square dancing on Saturday nights with the Silverleaf club in Emmett, Idaho; where he met his wife, Barbara. He was a hard-working man, devote christian, and a dedicated husband and loving father. His grand-daughter, Holly, aided greatly in his care and comfort during his final years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ola and Theodore; his first wife, Ruth; and three of his siblings, Raymond, Rose, and Bonnie. His is survived by his wife, Barbara Darrow; his children Debra Bronson, Rick Darrow, and Alexandria Quintero; his grand-daughter Jennifer McAlexander, his great-great grandson Jose Quintero IV, and step-daughter, Jennifer Holt. He is also survived by five siblings: Betty Gibbons, Esther Naylor, Lola Tolman, Theda Titus, and Skip Darrow as well as his sister-in-law Odette Darrow and brother-in-law Curt Alexander. Memorial services will be held at the Train Depot in Ontario Oregon on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. Arrangements and Cremation by Lienkaemper Chapel, Ontario.
