Kelly was truly, the boy next door. From the age of 4, I remember the gaggle of kids of our little grouping of farm houses playing submarine at the Lewis house or hide and go seek or riding bikes around the concrete in front of our onion storage. But most of all, I remember Kelly and my brother Steve on their dirtbikes chasing Sandee and I as we ran laughing and squealing. Then off they'd go, popping wheelies and we'd be crouching in the beet field, using leaves as camouflage. Kelly was definitely an all around athlete and well liked guy at NHS, he loved his sisters and his parents and the whole family was usually laughing. In my mind Kelly is back in time like a bit of golden light in some amber. Forever golden haired and smiling, riding in anything that went fast and had an engine. Condolences to his family who have lost their sweet golden boy who loved life and all it's bumps were part of the fun. Lives overlap in a vast quilt and I'm grateful for youthful memories with your warm and welcoming family. Peace to you.
