Obituary of Alan "Gator" Curtis

Alan G. “Gator” Curtis, of Payette, died Mar. 19, 2019.

Family and friends will “Celebrate his life” at a gathering on Friday, Mar. 29th, at 4 PM in the Payette County Museum located at 90 S. 9th St. In Payette.

He was born July 18, 1964 at Sacramento, Calif. To Harvey and Ann Skippen-Curtis. He attended schools in Payette.

“Gator” spent much of his time during his youth riding motorcycles and shooting his black powder rifle. At 16 he shot and killed a bear with his gun.

After attending Job Corp he entered the logging industry as a sawyer. He worked all over the Northwest for helicopter logging companies such as Columbia Helicopter in Alaska. He also worked locally for Richard Long.

He was a talented artist and loved doing pencil drawings of Mountain Men, Western scenes, and animals.

He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery near his father in the family plot.

He is survived by his mother, Ann; his brother Daniel (Jeri) of Italy and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and a myriad of friends.
