I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. As a Health Division employee, I would visit Ray each year to see how he was doing with the Drinking Water Grant. After his terrible crash near Pendleton, I visited Ray while he was hospitalized in Portland. While I never attended the parade in Ontario, when I think of Ray I see him riding a mule down the street with his long legs almost touching the pavement.
Everyone liked Ray, he was respected by all and will be missed.

Ray will be missed. I began my career in Environmental Health in 2001. I met Ray at Oregon Environmental Health Conferences and other trainings. I always appreciated his insight into the profession. My husband Eugene Regan went shooting in Eastern Oregon (rabbits) with Ray. Eugene also worked as an env health spec. He's now retired. We are both sad to hear of his passing. Our sympathy to Ray's family.

I was sad hearing of the loss of Ray. I met Ray back in 1993 after I retired from the Army I got a job in Crook County, OR as a sanitarian. Ray was one of the first people I met back then as he was on the Oregon Sanitarians registration board and I had to interview with him and a couple others to get Oregon registration. Over the next 20 + years I met Ray at many conferences where we used to talk and solidified our friendship. He was one of the nicest people I have met in Oregon, always positive, never anything bad to say. I know of his battle with cancer as we both were dealing with it at the same time. He was never negative about it but kept a positive outlook. Really sorry to hear of his passing. I give my condolences to his family-Now Ray can do all the hiking and hunting he wants. Rest in Peace Friend.

I'm sorry for your loss. I didn't know Ray personally but knew him through the Health Department. I was the Director of the Ontario Aquatic Center and he stopped by periodically to test our water. I always enjoyed visiting with Ray as he had interesting stories and was just a very nice man. Peace to your family.

Ray will be greatly missed! He was always so genuine and kind. Always concerned and interested in anyone he knew. He showed love to all. Ray and Coralie are two of the most generous caring people I know. Their love for family is felt by all of us. Ray was upbeat and positive in spite of so many trials and heartaches in his life. He understood God’s plan and is an amazing example to me. I am blessed to be his cousin.

We became acquainted with Ray when he was riding his mule around the outskirts of Vale. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with him.
We've talked from time to time with him through the years. The last contact I had with him was when he recruited me to play in the Vale Pep Band. What a neat guy. He loved his community and he loved his family.
Prayers and condolences for his loved ones.....
