We have lovely memories of Bob both on visits to us in Scotland and when we stayed with him on the farm. He was always so interested in all his family. Chad and Chance were 11 and 8 I think when we visited in ‘82. Chad was proficient on the huge tractor and I was taken aback to see him driving along the track between the irrigation ditches with Chance on one mudguard and my son, Grant aged 8 on the other. Bob could not understand my worries as he saw it as the norm for his grandsons to be helping on the farm! They certainly had a great grandparent who encouraged their independence and no doubt provided them with a tremendous work ethic. Bob loved having the kids around. Bob was welcomed wherever he went. He took us all over the neighbouring states and we learned a great deal about the American side of the family. His kindness will always be remembered. Love to all our relations.
