Obituary of Roy E. Dove

Roy Dove Sr., 67, of Weiser, passed away on July 14, 2019 in Weiser.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Thomason Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.

Roy was born in Sedalia, Missouri to Albert Franklin and Hazel Belle (Williams) Dove on March 22, 1952. He went to high school at Warrensburg Public High and received his GED. Prior to his retirement he had various jobs. He enjoyed fishing and riding horses.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Hazel Dove and a brother Gary Dove. He and his wife Christine Dove passed away together.

Roy is survived by six children James Dove of Sedalia Missouri, Shannon Dove of Yakima Washington, Stephanie Olson of Yakima Washington, Roy Dove Jr. of Yakima Washington, Bradley Dove of Weiser Idaho, Amber Wedekind Of Weiser Idaho, also one adopted son Cody Dove of Idaho. Three sisters Betty (Doug) Paxton of Missouri, Earline (Carroll) Keele and Joyce (Steve) Rutledge both of Arkansas.  Nine grandchildren Trinna Olson, Julie Villanueva, Sumer Hugill, Trevor Dove, Taylor and Kaylah Dove, Treagun Dove, Mason Mitchek and Kira Dove. One great grandson Johnathon Villanueva. Multiple Nieces and Nephews.

We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
