Obituary of Keith Evan Mitchell

Keith Evan Mitchell, 47, of Nyssa, Oregon passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at home. Keith was born March 23, 1972 in Nyssa, Oregon to Dale and Vicki Mitchell. He graduated from Nyssa High School in 1990 and served in the Iowa Des Moines Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After returning home, he attended and graduated from Ricks College. He returned to Nyssa and began working for Swire Coca Cola for 20 years. During that time, he married Trisha Bottoms and raised their daughters, Corinthia, Jordan, Alexandra, and Qyonee. They later divorced. Keith enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, and trips to the Oregon Coast. He used his handy man and mechanical skills to help others in times of need. Although he was quiet, he made a profound difference in many lives and was happiest serving others without them knowing. Keith was the “Funcle” to numerous nieces and nephews. They all enjoyed going to his home where he spoiled them. Keith is survived by his daughters, his parents, his siblings; Holly Messick, Wallace, Idaho, Loren (Melissa) Mitchell, Eagle Mountain, UT, Lucas (Juliana) Mitchell, Medford, WI, Nancy (Ney) De Oliveira, Nyssa, OR, and LaNae (Jacob) Yates, Denver, NC. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10:00 am in the LDS Stake Center, Nyssa, Oregon. Burial will follow at Hilltop Memorial Cemetery, Nyssa. Arrangements and Services by Lienkaemper Chapel, Nyssa. At the family’s request, there will be no viewings held.
