Minerva was born Aug. 31, 1936, in a small town in Mexico, however, most of her life was spent in Nyssa, Oregon. Married to her husband, Rolando Lopez, for 53 years, the two of them raised three children. To Minerva, cooking for those she loved was gift and she could often be found in her kitchen, making one of her many signature dishes. Much of her free time was devoted to helping those most in need, including providing services to the sick and hungry through countless hours of volunteering through the church. Becoming a grandmother was a genuine joy for Minerva, whom delighted at regular visits from her grandchildren and eventually great-grandchildren.

Minerva is remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anselmo and Espetacion Tijerina; her sister, Genoveva and her husband.

She is survived by her children, John Lopez, Mary Marcum and Ronnie Lopez; her grandchildren, William Lopez, Lindsey Clinton, Jessica Lopez and Karla Valle; and three great-grandchildren, Arianna Valle, Jayda Valle and Joseph Valle.
