I apologize for sending such a belated note, but I wanted to say how sorry I was to learn of Maureen's passing. She was a Physical Therapy patient of mine ever since I moved to Council, over 10 years ago. It was a mutual goal of ours to keep her as functional and independent as possible.
Of course, many patients share day to day details with me, some very intimate and, at times, humorous. The latter was true when she talked about her cat, and how she tried to keep him from getting into trouble including scratching her. Indeed, we laughed a great deal about her cat and mine and why the saying that dogs have masters and cats have servants is so true. Nevertheless, he provided her with joy and was just what I thought that she needed.
Again, I'm so sorry and was profoundly shocked when I learned (at work) that she died. She'll be missed.
