I met Bill in Council ID many moons ago. I'm one of the local computer repair guys who makes house calls. When Bill would end up in a computer pickle or "this thing is so slow", we would get together and jaw about all kinds of things and finally get around to fixing the demon child (not Bill, the computer). One such meeting was when he was living in a little manufactured home north of Council and also fixing up a house of his a little further down the lane. He wanted to show me what he was working on so we went down there and I was flabbergasted (??). The beautiful woodwork took my breath away and I have a lot of breath! such God given talent that boy had!
My last meeting with Bill was at the Council Automotive. I was in there sinking more money into the pit I call a car and in walks Bill. Mind you, I've been mostly living in Boise for the last 10 years taking care of my mother in law so my facial recognition is a bit foggy moving back to the area. But immediately out of my mouth popped "Is that Bill Shore??" And he knew my name right off the bat and it was like it was just yesterday we had seen each other. Not such a good day for ole Bill because he was a day early for his oil change, but he just shrugged it off and said, "well I'll be back tomorrow".
I loved browsing around the little odds and ends shop he started right by the Council Cemetery. One day I was there poking around and there was Bill shuffling stuff around. So, I asked him if he worked there. He said something like "no, I just own the joint".
Bill was also my neighbor out in Mesa when he lived in the 'BIG OLE LOG HOUSE" across the highway. Visited with him many times there too.
May God have mercy on ole Bill's soul. He is in my prayer intentions and I hope to meet up with him in the Heavenly home.
