Obituary of Joanne Ward

 

  Joanne was born in Jordan Valley, Oregon on November 6, 1950 to James R. Yost and Josephine M. Calzacorta. She was born in her grandmother’s home. A few days later they moved to Nyssa, Oregon where she spent her elementary school years, then moved to Emmett, Idaho where she met and married her husband Richard Parks and had three children, Melissa, Matt and Maria Parks. She later divorced Richard and married Ian Ward of Boise.

 

One of the most memorable things was working at Good Samaritan Hospital in Boise as a CNA. Her goal was to become a CNA2. She achieved her goal and many glowing employee recognitions over her working career.

 

 After becoming ill she resided in an assisted living facility for 15 years where she then passed on June 15, 2021, to be with the lord.

 

 She is survived by her three children Mellissa Myers of Spokane, WA. Matt Parks of Missouri and Maria Schulthies of Caldwell, Idaho her two sisters Peggy Nielson and Lila Sharp as well as eight grandchildren Spencer, Thayne, McKenzie and Clayton Schulthies, Mason and Angel Stephenson, Hope Blair, and Faith Parks. Joanne is also survived by her two great-grandchildren Kendel Pratt and Quinn Blair.
