Bertha J. Dickerson

September 26, 1933-April 1, 2022

 

             Betty (Bertha) Dickerson, 88, died quietly of natural causes on Friday, April 1st at Weiser Care of Cascadia. Betty was born September 26, 1933 to Curtis and Eunice, Everett in Ontario, Oregon. Betty graduated from Weiser High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, Marshall Dickerson on August 10, 1952. Her son Mike Dickerson was born in 1953.

             Betty put her faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ for her salvation. She found her life and joy in the grace of God. She was baptized in 2005 and was an active member of Riverside Baptist Church. Betty loved her church family and never missed an opportunity to be with God’s people and praise God’s name.

She loved to fish and ride motorcycles with her husband Marshall and friends Delbert and Carolyn Petty. Betty enjoyed the great outdoors and huckleberry picking. Betty was an avid card player and greatly enjoyed bridge, pinocle, and marbles with her friends. Betty was very social and active in the community. If you were Betty’s friend you were a friend for life.

            She was proceeded in death by her husband Marshall, her  parents, her sister Barbara Martin, and her brother-in-law Larry Martin. She is survived by her son Mike, five grandchildren, Matthew, Patrick, Ryan, Robyn, and Rene, and four great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted on April 23rd at 11am at Riverside Baptist Church; Pastor Ian Ross officiating. Contributions on Betty’s behalf can be made to Riverside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 107, Weiser, ID 83672.
