Vivian Lee Doggett Keithley, 94, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022 in Weiser, Idaho. Vivian Lee Doggett Keithley was born May 25, 1927 in Baker, Oregon to Hilda and Ruell Doggett.  Vivian was the 2nd of 4 children.  Vivian grew up enjoying her childhood on the farm and being a part of all the teasing and antics of her 2 brothers and sister.  After graduating form Midvale High School, she attended Lewiston Normal School and obtained her teaching certificate.  She then taught in a 1 room school house in Midvale (Salem School) for a couple of years.

Vivian married Howard Keithley, Jr. on June 12, 1949.  They had 4 children, Gary, Elisa, Linda, and Larry.  Her life was spent working the ranch with Dad, feeding cows, driving tractor, feeding work crew throughout the year, and raising us kids.  Later on she spent several years working at the Midvale Post Office with one of her best friends and Post Mistress, Phyliss.

She enjoyed being a part of the Midvale Garden Club. Vivian loved the people and the activities they did for the community.  She was a lady of many talents.  Mom could can the best darn peaches, sew any pattern you gave her, plus some of her own.  She enjoyed doing many crafts and giving her many different creations to others.  She planted a huge garden every year and made many delicious meals from all the produce.  Mom always took time to take care of others and in her later years helped take care of her 2 brothers.
