Obituary of Elysia Grace Goodwin

On May 30, 2007 Elysia "Grace" Goodwin blessed us.

On December 17, 2022, she was called to be with her GOD.

She has been fiery and spirited from the beginning. She cried so loud that she woke up all the other babies in the nursery. Music is one of Grace's greatest passions. All varieties of it. Rap, classic/current rock, country, hip-hop, bluegrass, church hymns, and especially Christmas music. She also loves to sing. By herself, in small groups, and very much so in her school choir and her voice lessons group. She loves jewelry, especially crystals and gemstones. She once wrote that if she were going outside there is a good chance she would be bringing a rock back with her. She is a true lover and advocate of nature. Fishing, camping, boating, swimming are some of her favorite times. Anyone that knows her knows how much she adores animals. She has eight cats and a dog at her house in Weiser. Her first word was kitty cat. She bonded with so many animals during her time, but two of them stand out. Belle and Lady will forever be in her heart. Grace has many animals at her mom’s house in Boise (4 cats, 2 dogs, and 16 chickens). She loves every single one of them so much. She loves swimming at the HWY 95 Bridge with all of her friends. She has such a carefree spirit. She loves being outside and being with people. She will be missed more than words can express. Grace is such an inspiration to everyone that she met.  Grace loves all children. It seemed like they could sense that because where Grace was children followed. Grace wanted to help people in any way possible. She actively sought out opportunities to lend a helping hand. She is always up to watching a movie (usually a horror), but her taste in movies is as wide ranging as her taste in music. Grace loves GOD and tried to pattern her behavior to show it. Grace loves her family, always looking forward to holidays and get togethers. She especially loves giving gifts to people at Christmas and birthdays. She took pride in her gifting talents because she knew just what to give. Grace is an amazing student and always went above and beyond to keep her grades at an exceptional level. Grace's wishes are to be cremated and have her ashes spread at Glacier National Park in Montana, as well as some more personal spots like her and her father's fishing spot. Grace touched so many lives and will continue to do so. Grace is a big Kansas City Chiefs fan. She spread that fandom and even converted a few people into the fandom family. Grace is survived by her father, Brandon Goodwin and mother, Jennifer Martinez. As well as Brandon's fiancee, Samantha McChesney and Jennifer's husband, Jason Martinez, her siblings Tobias, Kayja, and Bella. Many uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents, great grandparents and countless friends as well. There will be a celebration of life for her at the Weiser High School auditorium on Friday the 6th of January at 1 PM.  If anyone would like to honor her memory, further please do so by donating to the Ontario Feral Cat Project in Ontario, Oregon.

Arrangements under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lienkaemper-thomason.com.
