Obituary of Cleone A. Reel

Cleone Alice Pettet Reel was born on January 7, 1933 in Weiser, Idaho to John William Pettet and Nancy Arzola Dale Pettet.

She lived the first four years of her life in Midvale, Idaho.  They moved to Ontario, Oregon when her parents cleared a farm out of the sagebrush. in Lincoln Heights.

Cleone attended Lincoln grade school through the 8th grade and then graduated from Ontario High School with the clas of 1951.

She married Harvey Reel on December 23, 1950.  She lived most of her life around Ontario, Oregon except when Harvey worked for the game commission and they were transferred to Summer Lake, Oregon.  They lived there for one and a half years, then moved back to Ontario and started farming.  Cleone went to work at OreIda Foods in February, 1962 and retired in June 1995 after 33 plus years.

Cleone and Harvey divorced in April, 1990 after 39 years of marriage.

She loved to travel and had been on three cruises.  She also went to Nashville to the Grand Ole Opry, to Washington D.C., New York, Canada, Alaska five times and to Hawaii twice.

After she retired she started babysitting her great grand kids and laughed at all the cute thigs they said and did.  

Cleone moved to Fruitland, Idaho to the Valencia Apartments.  Her final home was Wellsprings in Ontario, Oregon where her sister also resided.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheri Acree and son-in-law Curt of Payette, Idaho and her son Lary and daughter-in-law Pam of Sherwood, Oregon, four grand children, five great-grand children, and six great-great grand children, one niece and one nephew, and three cousins.

Cleone was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister.

She would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Wellsprings and the Signature Hospice caregivers.  They ere all her comfort and support.
