Obituary of Patricia G. Fleming

Beloved mother, sister, wife, and friend, Patricia (Patty) Gholson Fleming was born September 8, 1948, in Nampa, Idaho, where she lived with her parents, Roland and Emma Gholson. The family then moved to Mountain Home, Idaho. The family later moved to Vale, Oregon, where Patty graduated from high school in 1966. She was blessed with a beautiful daughter Shelly Ann, in 1967.

Patty graduated from nursing school in 1969. That same year, she moved to New Mexico and married Danny L. Jordan. Since Danny was in the military, Patty was able to move with him to different states and gain varied nursing experience. They were blessed with two boys, Danny LeeRoy and Donny Robert Jordan and in 1999, Patty and Danny separated ways. In 2001, Patty married the love of her life, Michael B. Fleming. Michael and Patty traveled and had a great life together until she passed.

Patty practiced nursing for her entire life, including rural medicine, Ob-Gyn, various family practices, ICU, and home health, up until she became ill. She lived a life of service and nursing was a defining part of who Patty was, beloved by patients, she cared for and the friends she worked with. She was a wonderful nursing professional and she always said that taking care of people who were ill was an honor.

Patty loved wildflowers and being in nature. Taking trips to view and photograph flowers in the spring was an annual event with Michael and several times with her son Donny. She cherished those times. Patty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was always up for a good time.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Emma, her sister Kathy, and her brother in-law Don Vandeweghe. She leaves behind her husband Michael Fleming, her children, Shelly Gholson, Danny and Donny Jordan, her siblings Kliffee Vandeweghe and Bob Gholson,  her step-children Sean, Nicholas and Mathew Fleming and Shannon Chastaine, 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
