Obituary of Susan Esther Sproul

Susan Esther Sproul, 73 of Ontario died July 25, 2019 at a local assisted living facility. Susan was born June 2, 1946 in Ontario, Oregon, and adopted by Gilbert and Nellie Sproul from Oregon Slope.  She joined four siblings and attended Pioneer School and graduated from Ontario High School.  She went to Treasure Valley Community College, Eastern Oregon College, and College of Western Oregon in Monmouth, Oregon to become a teacher.  Susan taught school in West Branch, Michigan for seven years.  She then returned to Ontario and was a substitute for several schools.  Susan became disabled because of arthritis.  She then taught in the reading program at Treasure Valley Christian School until 2009.

Susan moved to the Dorian Place Assisted Living Facility for ten years.  She attended CLF and Tops.  She loved to sing and was sure of her Savior Jesus Christ. 

Susan is survived by her sisters Anne Stelling Cobbley, Phoenix; Sue Ann (her twin) Garza, Oxnard, California; Judy White, Ontario; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends, and a special niece Cherry Hatfield, and a good friend Janet Schamber Hewitt.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rosedale Cemetery in Payette. Arrangements and Services under the direction of Lienkaemper Chapel, Ontario
